Sunwapta Bed and Breakfast is located on a quiet, easy to find
residential street in the Valley District of Hinton. We are within sight of
Alberta's famous Rocky Mountains and 15 minutes from the east gate of Jasper
National Park. Sunwapta Drive is within easy walking distance of Hinton's
extensive hiking and biking trails, the Hinton Recreation Centre, and the
valley's commercial services.
Your hosts, Harvey & Sheila Hiller, have lived in Hinton since 1972. Harvey is the principal at Harry
Collinge High School. Sheila is a retired nurse and Harvey's
hobbies include reading, furniture building and golfing while Sheila is an avid reader, quilter
and of course ... great cook.

Your stay at our B&B will be remembered as the place where you enjoyed a suite of

How to Find Us
If you are coming from Jasper on Highway 16 East, take the Valley District exit on your
right and follow Switzer Drive as it curves around our hospital and under Highway 16. You
will descend into the valley, pass the Hinton Centre on your right, the pulp mill on your
left, and then the extensive recreation facilities of the Hinton Recreation Centre on your
right. After passing the 7-11 on your right you will come to a set of traffic lights. Turn
right on Hardisty Avenue and proceed to the second entrance to Sunwapta Drive, on your
right. Take this right hand turn off Hardisty Avenue and proceed to our house; it is the 6th
house on your right.
If you are coming from Edmonton on Highway 16 West, take the Valley District exit on your
right and follow Switzer Drive as it curves into the valley. As you come to a gas station on
your right, make a left hand turn onto Hardisty Avenue. Proceed past Crescent Valley
School on your left, cross Hardisty Creek and take a left hand turn onto Sunwapta Drive.
Proceed to our house; it is the 6th house on your right.
